I would like to thank Toni Evans, the Board, and all the members and supporters of Cityscape for their dedication to our downtown areas. I recently became the recipient of an awning grant offered to local businesses to assist in the improvement of downtown buildings. I painted my building at 32 North Cedar and added a new sign. I then decided to add the final touch- awnings! Through the help of Cityscape I was able to complete my project quickly and now have a fresh, stylish, "new" building. Thanks, Cityscape! Cityscape has been a real asset to us personally and to the West Side merchants. Through the work of Cityscape with city officials, parking signs were placed strategically around the West Side . There actually is parking but shoppers don’t always know where they can park so the signs help with that important problem. In addition, we were able to get a small grant from Cityscape to help with renovation of the façade of our building. Making sure that each building is attractive and adds to the charm of the area is a civic responsibility of EACH building owner but it sure helps to have the encouragement and support of Cityscape!
